Yuki Shirato

Yuki Shirato is an angel investor and accelerator leader serving as Managing Director at Yakumi, the Tokyo-based international angel network he founded, and as Managing Director of Techstars Japan. He has backed more than 50 startups as an angel investor and co-founded three venture-backed startups. He is also Senior Advisor at Pangaea Ventures and Venture Partner at Silicon Foundry. Earlier, he spent over a decade at global law firms in New York, Toronto, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Singapore and Tokyo, and worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company and a trade negotiator at Keidanren. Yuki brings a founder-investor and legal perspective on angel investing, accelerator programs, cross-border transactions, and building international investor networks. The roles provide direct exposure to how early-stage investors select founders and how startups prepare for growth beyond their home market.
