About
Yoichi Ito is an entrepreneurship educator and leadership developer serving as Dean of the Faculty of Entrepreneurship at Musashino University. Yoichi joined the Industrial Bank of Japan in 1990, working on corporate finance and restructuring, moved to Plus Corporation in 2003, and joined Yahoo Japan in 2015 as President of Yahoo! Academia (later LINE Yahoo Academia), its programme for developing next-generation leaders. Yoichi set up the Musashino faculty in 2021, opened the startup studio Musashino Valley in June 2023, and is the author of the bestselling book "1分で話せ" (Speak in 1 Minute). Yoichi brings an educator and corporate-operator perspective on entrepreneurship education, leadership development, presentation and communication, and supporting people who are taking a first step toward starting something. The work provides direct exposure to how students, employees and early founders build the mindset and skills to act on their ideas. Yoichi is particularly relevant to conversations around entrepreneurship education, next-generation leadership, pitching and clear communication, and how universities and companies can develop entrepreneurial talent.
