Tomohiro Uchida is a venture investor serving as Partner at Translink Capital, based in Tokyo. Before joining Translink Capital, he headed the new business development center at Hitachi Solutions, where he led business creation and ecosystem development in construction tech and smart building in Japan, launching two new businesses and building partnerships with 20 startups. He holds a B.S. in Economics from Keio University. At Translink Capital, he invests in enterprise-focused software and SaaS companies and in food tech, including novel foods and supply chain with a focus on sustainability, and helps portfolio companies connect with Japanese customers and partners. Tomohiro brings a corporate-operator and venture perspective on enterprise software, corporate-startup partnerships, new business creation, and entering the Japanese market. The role provides direct exposure to how investors assess early-stage companies and how startups win customers and partners in Japan. Tomohiro is particularly relevant to conversations around fundraising readiness, investor decision-making, Japan market entry, and working with large Japanese corporations as customers and partners.
