Noriya Tarutani

About

Noriya Tarutani is a startup ecosystem and innovation leader serving as Head of JETRO Startup at JETRO. The role requires working across founders, investors, corporations, public institutions, and community partners, with an emphasis on creating the relationships and support structures that help new ventures move forward. In practice, that perspective connects ecosystem strategy with the day-to-day work of introducing the right people, designing useful programs, and helping founders navigate unfamiliar institutions and markets. For founders, Noriya's background offers a useful view of how programs, warm introductions, institutional support, and trusted local relationships can reduce friction when entering a new ecosystem. Noriya brings a practical perspective on startup ecosystems, cross-border collaboration, market access, partnerships, and the networks founders need to grow.
