About
Marco De Biasi is an angel investor and startup advisor serving as Program Director at Founder Institute Brasil. Marco studied administration and finance and worked at the telecommunications company TIM, whose expansion into Latin America took him to Argentina, Chile and Brazil. He went on to create São Paulo Anjos, a private angel investment association, and later co-founded LAAS (Latin American Angels Society) with two partners to focus on early-stage startups that have a validated MVP and have been through an acceleration program. He began mentoring in 2017 and became a director of the Founder Institute program. Marco brings an operator-turned-angel perspective on early-stage investing, angel networks, accelerator programs and building startups in Latin America. The work provides direct exposure to how angel investors assess first-time founders, validated products and the readiness of a company coming out of an accelerator. Marco is particularly relevant to conversations around angel investment, early-stage fundraising readiness, impact-driven startups and the Latin American startup ecosystem.
