Marcel Rasinger is a venture investor and startup ecosystem contributor serving as YOKOHAMA CONNÉCT Community & Program Manager at Venture Cafe Tokyo. Before moving deeper into the startup ecosystem, he spent several years working with Austria’s diplomatic presence in Japan, building extensive cross-border experience. Marcel brings a community and partnership perspective on ecosystem development, international collaboration, founder connectivity, and creating the trusted spaces where new business relationships and innovation projects can begin. The role provides direct exposure to how investors assess teams, markets, differentiation, traction, and a company’s ability to grow beyond its initial market. In practice, that perspective connects founder quality, market evidence, investment fit, and the long-term work required to build a company that investors can continue supporting. Marcel is particularly relevant to conversations around fundraising readiness, investor decision-making, venture-scale growth, and the signals that help founders build conviction with capital partners.
