Maaike Doyer is an angel investor and investor-community builder serving as Founder at Epic Angels, a female-only angel investor collective founded in November 2021 that backs early-stage startups across Asia Pacific and Latin America. Earlier in her career she worked at major accounting firms and joined a colleague to start Business Models Inc., a consulting firm that helped entrepreneurs turn rough ideas into companies. She began angel investing in San Francisco and continued in Singapore, and has lived and worked across the Netherlands, the U.S. and Singapore. Maaike brings an operator-turned-investor perspective on angel investing, early-stage due diligence, business model design and bringing first-time investors into startup funding. Running an investor collective gives her direct exposure to how angels source deals, assess founding teams together and decide which early-stage companies to back.
