About
Iva Buschmann is a leadership strategist and executive coach serving as Founder & Director at Tokyo Leadership Institute, where she personally leads advisory engagements for senior executives and leadership teams. She is ICF certified and has lived and worked in eight countries over more than 25 years, including Nigeria, the U.S., Germany, Malaysia, Japan, Australia, China and the Czech Republic. Earlier she built and exited two ventures: Pierstone, a boutique law firm, and D3A, a capital advisory firm. She trained under Marshall Goldsmith and Professor Philippe Rosinski and is part of the Solutions Academy global faculty network. Iva brings a founder-turned-coach perspective on executive decision-making, leading across cultures, managing remote global teams and leadership transitions. The work provides direct exposure to how senior leaders in Asia and Europe handle pressure, complexity and high-stakes decisions. Iva is particularly relevant to conversations around leadership development, cross-cultural team building, expatriate leadership in Japan and how founders grow into senior leadership roles.
