IVS is one of Japan's largest startup conferences. It began in 2007 as the Infinity Ventures Summit and is now run by the IVS KYOTO Executive Committee of Headline Japan, Kyoto Prefecture and Kyoto City. The 2026 edition, held in Kyoto on 1-3 July under the theme 'Japan is Back', was the 33rd event. It combines an open exhibition area, the invitation-only IVS CORE, the IVS Launchpad pitch competition and side events.
